The Chinese Medical Institute and Register (CMIR), founded in 1994 by the AcuMedic Foundation and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, is a prominent professional organization in the UK dedicated to advancing Chinese medicine and acupuncture. As a member of the Chinese Medical Council (CMC), the China-UK Consortium for Medical Integration, Research and Collaboration (CUC), and the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), CMIR strives to modernize Chinese medicine and integrate it effectively with mainstream medical practice.
