Advanced Herbal Prescriber Certificate
The Advanced Herbal Prescriber Certificate equips medical doctors and healthcare professionals with the knowledge and legal framework to safely and legally prescribe and dispense individualised herbal medicine formulations, following a 1:1 consultation and using AcuMedic's innovative Phytoform system.
Course Overview
Held at the AcuMedic Centre in London, the course consists of:
- Foundation Weekend: 12 CPD credits
- Advanced 4-Weekend Course: 48 CPD credits
The curriculum blends in-class modules with home study, focusing on the properties and effects of key Chinese herbs and how to prescribe herbal formulas according to the principles of Chinese medicine and syndrome differentiation.
The AM Phytoform System
As part of the course, students will learn to use the AM Phytoform system, which simplifies the process of prescribing and dispensing herbal medicine in their own practices.
The system provides a legal route for prescribing herbs to patients, ensuring full compliance with EU laws.
Eligibility Requirements
To enroll, participants must be qualified medical doctors or healthcare professionals with accredited qualifications in Chinese medicine and acupuncture. If you have not previously studied Chinese medicine or acupuncture, you may join after completing coursework in acupuncture, Chinese medical theories, diagnostics, and syndrome differentiation.
