Advanced Herbal Prescriber Certificate
The Advanced Herbal Prescriber Certificate teaches medical doctors and healthcare professionals how to legally prescribe and dispense individual herbal medicine formulations for their patients following a 1:1 consultation, using AcuMedic's innovative Phytoform system. The foundation weekend and 4-weekend advanced course is held at the AcuMedic Centre in London and counts as 12 CPD credits for the Foundation and 48 CPD credits for the Advanced 4-weekend course.
Combining taught modules and home study, the course explains the properties and effects of the most commonly used Chinese herbs and how to prescribe the key Chinese herbal formulae, according to the priniciples of Chinese medicine and treatment by syndrome differentiation. The course also teaches students how to use the AM Phytoform system to easily prescribe and dispense herbal medicine within their own practices. The AM Phytoform system provides the legal route to prescribe herbs to your patients, in compliance with the EU laws.
Students must be qualified medical doctors or healthcare professionals, who have an accredited qualification in Chinese medicine and acupuncture. You must provide the Course Administrator with copies of your qualifications when you book onto the course. If you are a medical doctor or healthcare professional who has not previously studied Chinese medicine or acupuncture, you may join the Herbal Prescriber Certificate after you have completed studying in acupuncture, Chinese medical theories, diagnostics and syndrome differentiation.
